Funny In Failure

Sep 13, 2021

Daniel Davis is an actor who you might recognize from his many roles such as Niles the Butler on The Nanny, Moriarty on Stark Trek: The Next Generation, The Blacklist, The Hunt for Red October, The Prestige, Elementary, Gotham, Frasier, Men in Black: The Series, The Practice and Ugly Betty to name a few.

He also has an extensive theatre career where he has a few hundred theatre credits to his name, which is crazy. He’s been in Wrong Mountain where he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a play, The Invention of Love and also Talking Heads where he won the Obie award and Outer Critics Circle Award.

As you can imagine, we cover a lot of brilliant topics such as playing Niles on the Nanny, as well as the almost spin off, his accent, working in theatre, being type cast, parental approval, being Ian McKellen’s understudy, rejection and ‘no’s, pursuing your dreams, the art of listening, navigating fear, anger & self-awareness.
